I left my heart in San Francisco
High on a hill, it calls to me.
To be where little cable cars
Climb halfway to the stars!

My love waits there in San Francisco
Above the blue and windy sea
When I come home to you, San Francisco,
Your golden sun will shine for me!
As I wrote in a recent post, I visited San Francisco in the mid nineties. The city is unique. The bay. The Golden Gate Bridge (and the Bay Bridge). The TransAmerica building. Cable cars: those ultimate icons of the city. I fell in love.
